Britney Spears’ Son Sean Preston Could Be the Next Big DJ, Says Kevin Federline
Look out Calvin Harris! There's a youngster who's
aiming to take your spot at the top of the mixing
mountain.
Sean Preston Federline may only be 9 years old, but
he's already starting to hone his skills on the
turntables, and according to his proud papa, he's
getting pretty good.
"He's in there working hard," Kevin Federline told
PEOPLE of the eldest son he shares with ex-wife
Britney Spears. "It's so funny to watch. He's 9 years
old, about to be 10, and probably by the time he's 12
he'll be really, really good."
Sean Preston's dad, a full time deejay now, said he's
showing his son a few pointers, but the kid has two of
the most important things: drive and an
understanding of the music.
"I showed him a little bit of stuff, but I want him to
figure it out on his own," Federline said. "There are
certain things I do need to show him, but he's got a
good ear, he really does. It will be interesting to see
where he's at in a couple of years."
As for the elder Federline, his deejay career is
beginning to take off. On Saturday, he spun at Las
Vegas's Crazy Horse following a fantasy football draft
he and his friends, including his wife Victoria,
hosted.
"We take [fantasy football] so seriously that there are
months of planning that go into the strategy of what
your going to do with the other people," he said.
"This is our 6th season. It's been same people from
the beginning. We have a waiting list to get into our
league."
Federline said he's actually the reigning champion of
his league, but things the air within the family home
has a little different feel when he and his wife's team
play each other.
"We have fun. I turn into a big baby when I lose to
her," he said. "I'm used it man, she beats me at
everything, bowling, golf. She's a pro athlete so it's a
little hard to compete with."
As for Spears, he's not super concerned with who is
competing for her heart, so long as their shared kids
like the potential suitor.
"It doesn't matter to me as long as it doesn't affect
the kids," he said. "If she's happy, the boys are happy
and that's fine. That's all you can really wish for for
anybody, happiness."
